what it's like to be a waitress at pizza house

Currently i am an waitress at pizza house. This job has associated me with many people who i am grateful to have meet, however, being a waitress in college is somewhat a struggle. Some of my faith in humanity died due to the number of rude individuals i serve daily. Just the other day I was waitressing a group of college students and I overheard one of the girls laughing about how she was going to leave me a $3 tip on a $40 bill because she is “broke.” I now understand what people mean when they say, “If you cannot afford to tip, then you can not afford to eat out.” Although waitressing can be mentally and physically exhausting, the people I work with make it bearable.
